When you sign up for Private Lessons at ROK Dog Training, you’re not getting passed off to an assistant—you’re working directly with Cole Bödelson, a nationally certified dog trainer with over a decade of experience and a long track record of success in advanced obedience and behavior modification.
Elite Education and Experience. Cole’s journey began at the prestigious Tom Rose School, the oldest and most respected professional dog training academy in the United States. There, he completed both the Master’s and Professional Programs with honors, graduating at the top of his class. His excellence in the field earned him a position on staff immediately after graduation, where he served as a Training Coordinator and Instructor—helping guide future professional trainers in everything from basic obedience to protection work and service dog training.
A Proven Track Record with All Types of Dogs. What truly sets Cole apart is the depth and diversity of his experience. He has worked with everything from leash-reactive rescues and anxious pets to police K9s and high-performance working dogs. His nuanced understanding of dog psychology, timing, and body language makes him especially effective in private training sessions, where progress depends on subtle adjustments and a strong human-canine connection.
Recognized Excellence. Cole has earned multiple AKC titles and holds a PSA1 with Distinction—an achievement few trainers reach. He’s also certified through Therapy Dogs International and has directed a working dog club, all of which reflect his ongoing commitment to excellence in the field. In 2019, he contributed to the CSU Military Working Dog Advanced Deployment Study, further deepening his knowledge of elite canine training and deployment strategies. You’ll gain not only a better-behaved dog—but also the clarity and confidence to lead them well beyond the session.
